Being Thankful

Being Thankful

Thanksgiving will be very different for most of us in 2020, a year that has been full of unprecedented challenges and so many unknowns. As we get ready for this favorite American holiday, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what we are thankful for. We asked our customers, friends, family and business partners to join our conversation.

Health. The corona virus crisis has touched all of our lives in one way or another and made many of us stop and think about our own health and well-being. All of those we spoke to mentioned having a renewed appreciation for their health and the health of their loved ones.

Family & Friendship. With social distancing, many have felt less connected to friends and family. Sometimes absence truly does make the heart grow fonder for those we can’t see. And many of us have gotten closer to the loved ones we have been fortunate to spend time with, making pleasant little discoveries about people you thought you knew everything about already.

Community. Everyone we spoke to talked about being inspired by the everyday heroes in their communities. From the healthcare workers who have battled the virus tirelessly while caring for patients, to teachers and students who have spent countless hours adapting to remote learning, to the parents who are holding everything together, to those who have continued to make sure we are all fed and clothed, and to so many more.

This Thanksgiving, the Sleet & Sole family would like to extend a very special thank you to all of you for supporting our small, local business and the environment through sustainable fashion.
